Find A Practitioner
The practitioner registry can help you find a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) who is based in Australia or New Zealand. Practitioners are listed by state. Each state is accessed from the menu on the left.

Against each SE practioner’s name is noted their SEP status and their other professional qualifications.

A Somatic Experiencing Practitioner has a detailed knowledge of trauma and its effects and uses practical skills of both dialogue and body-oriented interventions to effectively work with clients who have trauma-related, stress or anxiety symptoms. SE practitioners are trained for both the treatment of trauma and the maintenance of balanced health. They combine SE with their original professional qualifications and scope of practice.

Participants who are currently attending the SE Professional training are not included on the registry, although within their practice they are able to use the SE concepts and skills taught up to the level of training they have attended.

Participants may not use the title of Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and its abbreviation of ‘SEP’ in reference to their skills. When using SE skills, participants are required to clearly state to the client which training level they have attained by use of the correct term applicable to that level i.e. Beginning, Intermediate or Advanced Level Participant.

Below is a guide explaining about qualified SE practitioners and the different levels of training participants undertaking the SE Professional Training.
